2023 Faces of Design with Benjamin Moore & Luxe Interiors + Design

Oh, heeeeeeeeey!

So, if you’re subscribed to my email list you may have heard the news! First off, I know it's been a while since I’ve posted a blog, so please forgive me! Hopefully, this exciting news will make up for it! Earlier this year I was selected as one of the 2023 Faces of Design along with Jessica Galloway, one of my painters! With over 200 applications, this year's Faces of Design campaign team selected only 10 designer/painter teams, and we are blessed to be one of them! A big thank you to Benjamin Moore and Luxe Interiors + Design for this feature celebrating impactful design, craftsmanship, and true collaboration between designers and painters. Designers and painters are the heart of our industry, and this celebrates us and our work! Check out the sizzle reel that was released on 9/5 as well as the online features below!

HOLD UP… Let’s BACK UP & share how this ALL came aboUT!

In February of this year one of my designer colleagues slid in my DMs sharing the link to apply for the 2023Faces of Design campaign. I looked at last year’s campaign which was the inaugural campaign, and it seemed like a fantastic opportunity, especially considering my love of color! So, I decided to apply… on the last day for submissions*whew*. Looking back at the 2022 campaign while I loved the diversity, I noticed there were no women painters in the campaign. Now, women painters (especially business owners) are not that common, so I knew that if I was going to apply, I wanted to highlight Jessica Galloway, co-owner, and lead painter at Visionary Home Solutions. Having worked with Jessica on projects, I loved her professionalism, product knowledge, and the fac that her business creates opportunities for others to be successful and produce something they are proud of.

How I almost missed the opportunity

The morning of March 22, 2023, I had a missed call and voicemail from Frank Prescia, the Integrated Marketing Manager at Luxe Interiors + Design. The voicemail informed me that he was following up about the email he sent the week prior about the campaign and congratulating me and Jessica for being selected for this year’s campaign. I called him back immediately, checked my email, and informed him that I hadn’t received an email from him. He advised I check my spam folder, and there it was, dated March 16, 2023. See said email below…

Y’all... this was literally my reaction after the call!

I shared the news with Jessica, and it was time to schedule the date, time, and location for the shoot. After Lauren Corbin, the Senior Manager, Architect & Designer Segments at Benjamin Moore wrangled calendars, the shoot was scheduled for May 3, 2023, at my office location. We were informed that the day would be full starting with hair and makeup, then photos, videos, and more photos and videos, not to mention our every need catered to!

Brittany, my AMAZING design assistant did a fabulous job keeping me together during the shoot and capturing behind-the-scenes shots of all the action. I shared a reel on IG as a little teaser, and strongly advised by the campaign team I only shared that we were working on something with Benjamin Moore. That’s it! Take a look at the reel below.

Many thanks to everyone involved in this campaign!

This was a heavy-hitting team of professionals who executed a flawless shoot day!

  • Photography: Clay Cook, Clay Cook Photo

  • Videography: Jason Nix , Axe of All Trades

  • Makeup: Lambsey Reeves, Lambsey Reeves Makeup

  • Benjamin Moore Team: Lauren Corbin, Jose Veliz, Christine Handy, and Diana Cuestas

  • Luxe Interiors + Design Team: Lauren Krause, Frank Prescia,

  • My SPACES Office Crew: Toyia, Cirrocco, and Mallory (the campaign was shot in my office building and these ladies held it down!)

  • Twelve15 Design Assistant: Brittany Styles (there aren’t words to describe how special she is to me, and how blessed I am to have her on my team)

Oh yes, so the announcements don’t end here! I’ll be celebrating with clients, contractors, trade professionals, photographers, friends, and family. Without them I wouldn’t have been a part of this campaign!

Ok, ok, last thing… keep your eyes peeled for other feature announcements, and industry events I’m involved in coming very soon!
