"she is an inspiring designer"
Hey friends,
It’s been a minute, right?! Yeah, my bad y’all… 2023 was, well, 2023-ing if you know what I mean *whew! So let’s jump into why I’m here.
Storytime: While I love capturing and sharing our design projects, behind the scenes (sneak peeks), sharing design knowledge, personal life, etc. (that was a mouthful) and sharing it all (ok, most lol) on my blog. I felt like there wasn’t a consistency to my blog posts as I would have preferred. So, I’m pivoting and taking a different approach. I’ll still be sharing design projects here (at my choosing lol), and each month you will have something guaranteed to look forward to. Introducing…
“Celebrating the art of…” a monthly blog of visual inspiration and creative musings collaged by Stephanie (me), crafted to share with the world (lol ok, ok, more like my awesome online community and other friends and supporters throughout). Join me as I celebrate curating monthly visual inspirations that represent celebrating the art of living, creating, and designing, our tagline. And it’s not just our tagline by the way, it is the heartbeat of our vibrant design firm! This monthly blog will be highly visual, I’d say you can expect about 80% imagery, to 20% text each post. With that said, though, there will always be a visual component, so for example, there will be posts where the post is just the image collage I’ve created for the month so100% images, and 0% text.
One of the best memories I have of grad school was creating concept boards and/or color boards. Shout out to Rebekah Gray (Adkins), one of my most favorite professors at SCAD. She really pushed us with how we visually respresent (interior) design. I believe I’ve really honed in on the ability to translate something (a design element, a feeling, a texture, etc.) using visual elements, some of which are unrelated but they “fit.” These visual elements are somehowconnected to design, but may not be design related like an exact piece of furniture, etc.
Anway, a taste of what’s to come… Here is January's collage. Enjoy!
Until next time,
